Vestry

The vestry is the legal representative of the parish with regard to all matters pertaining to its corporate property. Trinity has eight vestry members, and 5 officers.

Trinity Vestry, gathered in June 2021 to meet with the Bishop and our Regional Missioner from ECCT.

Selection of the Vestry
Vestry members are elected by parish members at the annual parish meeting in January. Members are asked to serve for three years, and 2-3 of the spots are up for election each January. A nominating committee suggests a slate on which parishioners vote.

Tasks of the Vestry

helps define and articulate the mission of the congregation
supports the church's mission by word and deed
selects the rector
ensures effective organization and planning
manages resources and finances.

Officers
The presiding officer of the vestry is the rector.
There are two wardens.

The senior warden leads the parish between rectors and is a support person for the rector.
The junior warden has responsibility for church property and buildings.

Leadership Team
Vestry officers, including the wardens, treasurer, assistant treasurer, and clerk meet monthly to discuss church business and plan the Vestry meeting. The new rector will join this meeting once they are here.
