Tariffville |
Tariffville is a one square mile, largely residential area within the town of Simsbury, Connecticut, which dates back over three hundred years. Our little village is located on the north side of Talcott Mountain at a gap through which flows the Farmington River. Due to its geographical location, Tariffville developed as a separate entity from the other parts of Simsbury with its own elementary school and post office. Now Tariffville is considered a village of Simsbury, in which two main traffic arteries meet before heading toward the state capital.
Trinity Episcopal Church is located centrally within the village of Tariffville. Next door is a volunteer fire station, while at the end of the street, to the west, is an elementary school in the Simsbury Public School system. Several small businesses, restaurants and a local pub are located about three blocks away, as well as an apartment complex to the east and well established neighborhoods to the north and south. A Roman Catholic church located across the street has recently closed its doors, leaving Trinity as the only church in Tariffville. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tariffville,_Connecticut |

In addition, many professionals who work in the corporate offices of financial and insurance institutions, as well as the highly industrialized jet aircraft industry in the Hartford area choose to call Simsbury home, for the peace and quiet it offers after a long day in the city .

Granby |
Granby is located directly to the north of Simsbury and at one time was part of the Simsbury township but broke away to form its own community. There are nearly equal numbers of parishioners from Granby as from Simsbury. Granby is a lovely mix of rural and suburban neighborhoods, with orchards, farms, vineyards, and picturesque scenes.
