Lunch in the Park/Church by the Pond
On the second Saturday of every month, rain or shine, a group meets in the church kitchen to prepare between 60-100 lunches for the homeless in Hartford.
We then package the lunches and distribute them at Bushnell Park following a brief church service.

There are multiple churches who participate in Lunch in the Park. Trinity makes lunches and brings them to Bushnell Park on the second Saturday of every Month.

In the winter months, we also collect and distribute warm clothing and blankets thanks to the generosity of our fellow parishioners.
Lunch in the Park is one of the largest ministries at Trinity. Dozens of Trinity families have contributed their time and/or money to purchase food and beverage items and/or helped prepare and distribute the lunches. We would not be able carry out this important ministry without our devoted volunteers. Many of our volunteers consist of families - this ministry is open to all ages! If you are looking for an opportunity to show your children how to serve, this could be the perfect ministry for your family! |
