Children's Services

There are many services through out the year which are designed specifically for children and families. These services are shorter in duration, involve more movement to keep the children engaged, and feature child-friendly language and songs.
It's understood by everyone that these services will be full of kid noises and outbursts,
so you never have to worry that your child is being too loud.

Ash Wednesday Children's Service

4:00 pm Ash Wednesday
This is a shorter service where the children are invited to come sit in front of the altar during the service. During the sermon the children will learn why we put ashes on our heads and what it means. They will be give then opportunity to have the ash cross placed on their heads if they choose to do so. We sing a couple of short songs that are easy to learn, like "Jesus Loves Me," and the words are in the bulletins for the Parents.

Teacher Appreciation Sunday

9:45 am Second Sunday in June
On the last day of Sunday School in June, many children and their families come specifically to tell their teachers how much they appreciate all their work throughout the year. The congregation has the opportunity to share their appreciation when the teachers are presented by their students at the end of the 9:45 am service.

Good Friday Children's Service

4:00 pm Good Friday
This service is a portrayal of the journey from Jesus meeting with Pontius Pilate through His death on the cross to His rising from the grave on Easter Morning.
The actors and readers are all children in our Sunday School and Youth programs. Music is lead by our contemporary worship team. Many families come to this service for its simple and moving account of Jesus's Passion on the cross.

Christmas Pageant

9:45 am Third Sunday in December
The annual Christmas Pageant is put on by the joint effort of the Sunday School and Youth Groups. The Pageant is rewritten every year, so you never know what you are going to get at the Trinity Christmas Pageant.
The Story of Jesus birth never gets stale when you imagine how lives are changed because of it.

Christmas Eve Children's Service

3 pm Christmas Eve
During the Christmas Eve Children's Service, the children hear the Children's Sermon and then are given the special job of placing the baby Jesus in the manger in front of the church. There are many child-friendly carols sung throughout the shortened service in order to keep the children engaged in the service.
