40 Days of Fellowship
We encourage all Trinity members to join one of our Small Christian Community Groups for six weeks during the fall. From Early October through the middle of November, we invite everyone to make new friends, learn more about God and discover the joy of a deeper level of fellowship with our fellow church members.”
There is a group for every day.
Monday |
6:30-8:30 PM at Cracker Barrel Pub, Tariffville
Life Questions Leaders: Judy Gessford and Manda Lavallee Theme: This fellowship group offers the opportunity to discuss life questions in a relaxed atmosphere. We don’t follow a book but let the conversation flow from the group. For more information please contact Manda Lavallee at [email protected] 7-8:30 PM in the Trinity Church Library
Men’s Bible Study Leader: Lucian Cascio We are a group of men who range in backgrounds, from beginners to some Bible College background. We are beginning a study on the Letter of James, written by the brother of Jesus. Each meeting typically has a great mix for discussion. Key principle: An authentic faith is a faith that works; it is not merely verbal, but visible, and it is manifested in real changes in a believers conduct and character. So if you join us, watch out! You might want to make "improvements". For more information contact Lucian Cascio at [email protected] 7-8:00 PM in the Trinity Church Buttaro Lounge
Women’s Bible Study Leader: Ann Means Theme: Thinking about joining a women's bible study that fits in your schedule? How about one hour on Monday nights, starting at 7 pm? This group is open to women of every age seeking to transform their lives through God's word. Here is an opportunity for a light study and fellowship. Come when you can - you are always welcome! For more information contact Ann Means at 860-674-0688 or [email protected]. |
Tuesday |
10-11:30 AM in Church Library
Women’s Bible Study Leader: Maryjane Furrer Theme: We will study Book of Exodus this year. There is no homework, we encourage but don't require open discussion, and welcome the sharing of other resources people have read on the Book. Please consider joining us! Contact Trinity for more information. |
Wednesday |
7-8:30 PM in Trinity Church Chapel
Big Questions Leader: Jane Martin Theme: Contemporary Issues about Religion and Science. Everyone knows that the Bible teaches scientific nonsense. Right? Is constructive integration of Genesis 1 -11 and current scientific knowledge possible? Astronomer and theologian Hugh Ross explores the opening chapters of Genesis and shows how they hold some of the strongest scientific evidence for the Bible's supernatural accuracy. Contact Trinity for more information. |
Thursday |
7-8:30 PM at the home of Nancy and Hap Osborne
“Counterfeit Gods” Leaders: Hap and Nancy Osborne Theme: Based on book by Tim Keller Success, money, true love, and the life you have always wanted. Many of us have placed our faith in these things, believing they held the key to happiness, but we are left with the sneaking suspicion they might not deliver. No wonder we feel lost, alone, disenchanted, and resentful. There is only one GOD who can wholly satisfy our cravings – and now is the perfect time to meet him again or for the first time. Tim Keller’s Counterfeit Gods offers insight into the presence of idols in our lives. An idol is anything that is more important to you than God, anything that absorbs your heart and imagination more than GOD, anything you seek to give yourself that only GOD can provide. Keller’s wisdom and biblical understanding can help us identify hidden idols in our own hearts and in our culture. Contact Trinity for more information. 7-9 PM in the Trinity Church Sanctuary & Choir Room
Music Ministry Leaders: Kathy Sutton (Contemporary Worship Team) Paula Kern (Traditional Choir) We are first and foremost a ministry. We use the gifts God gave us to impart His messages through music, as we sing with intention to move our listeners...to places of hope and reflection. We are indeed a family. We aim to touch hearts, souls and minds in ways that the spoken word cannot. Learn about vowels, pitch, dynamics, breathing, substitutions, and the most important part...the intentions behind what we sing. Our goal is to help the congregation experience the love of Christ. Come check it out! See Paula for more information. |

Families with Kids Fellowship Leaders: Deacon Patrick and Nicole Bush Simon and Megan Evans Theme: This small group will be studying the Fruit of the Spirit, using Bill Hybels’ “Fruit of the Spirit: Living the Supernatural Life” as a guide. The study will span 6 sessions, over twelve weeks. To accommodate families, particularly those with small children, the group will meet on alternate saturdays. The location may vary, but we will start at the Evans’ house in Farmington. Children are welcome. We look forward to helping each other grow in the Spirit. Contact Trinity for more information. |
