Father Tom has often said that “Tariffville is the Center of the Universe!” And for Social Media Sunday, that holds true. As far as I know, in 2013, we were the first church to ever hold a Social Media Sunday. Through it, we were able to share our lives, our faith, and our church with our friends and contacts on social media. Last year, we took the Social Media Sunday to the whole Episcopal Church. Those who participated made #Episcopal, #SMSunday and #SocialMediaSunday trending topics on Twitter that day, and Episcopalians all over the world had over 10,000,000 impressions of our church and faith on our collective posts. Even the Archbishop of Canterbury tweeted about it. This year, we’re going ecumenical, and asking the entire body of Christ to share their faith and worship lives online on Social Media Sunday, October 25, 2015, using the hashtag #SMS15 That means you. Yes, you. How can you participate?
You can:
Whatever you do, PLEASE USE THE HASHTAG #SMS15 or no one will see that you participated. If you also use our church hashtag #TCTville, we will be able to find and support each other online. Any questions? You can find me on social media - @singingcarolyn on almost any platform, or bring them to the workshop October 4th. See you online on October 25th for #SMS15!
