The Trinity Recorder Ensemble

The Recorder Ensemble is aimed at creating a fun first musical experience for your children.
​This introductory group is relaxed, with some play-time, to slowly nourish a love for music, with basic fun concepts. ​

Parent involvement is highly recommended to help create a comfortable environment.

Curriculum

Recorder director, Melien Lavoie, custom-designs each of the musical pieces using a system she researched and adapted especially for this group of young musicians.

Snack & Play

Depending on the size of the group we sometimes rotate between beginner and advanced players either practicing or playing.

After the time of learning and practice, the group shares a quick snack with friends and prays together. 

What We Play

Our songs are all sacred music and chosen based on difficulty level, availability, and the season.

​As a group, we discuss the story behind each song and then refer back to related bible verses.

Drop-ins are always welcome! 

We practice every Sunday from 9am - 9:40am in the Preschool Classroom downstairs, across from the Nursery.

Other music and arts opportunities for children and youth.

There are other creative opportunities for children and youth to participate in music and arts at Trinity.

Children and youth perform a custom-written Christmas Pageant each December, and act out the Stations of the Cross at a moving service each Good Friday. ​

Children and youth also assist in leading music at Vacation Bible School.

In addition, children and youth can join the St. Gregory Choir or Contemporary Worship Team to rehearse for Sunday Morning worship and other special music events.
