The Holy Season of Lent is a time of preparation, contemplation, penance, and growing closer to Christ.  Many Christians take on a “fast” for the 40 days of Lent, to help increase their focus on the Lord.  Trinity has traditionally offered a Lenten Series to help support members of the local Christian Community in their Lenten journey toward the cross.  This year, we are offering a brand new program:

The Spiritual Gift Series

Wednesdays:  February 29, March 7 & 14, 2012

7-9pm

at Trinity Episcopal Church in Tariffville

In this series of three sessions, participants will learn about Spiritual Gifts, take a personal assessment to learn about their own God-given gifts, and work to discern how God wants to use those gifts, through teaching, small-group discussions, and prayer.

As with most Trinity events, there will be coffee, tea, and snacks provided at each session.  There will also be music, singing, and opportunities to talk and listen to others, along with the lecture.  Lecturers include our own Father Tom Furrer, Rector of Trinity Church, and professional educator, Kathy Sutton.
