Music can touch and heal us. It can stir our being, our soul, and our emotion toward the praise of God and inspire us in worship. It is our great privilege to sing God’s praise through music both old and new. Our musical repertory spans several centuries, from early plainsong chant, right through to music composed today. On a typical Sunday at Trinity, our musical choices might include music from the great Anglican choral tradition, an anthem by one of the great European composers of sacred music, such as Bach, Handel, Bruckner, Mendelssohn, Brahms or Mozart, a hymn from the 11th century, a song from Africa, a contemporary religious song, or gospel music. We rejoice in the broad and rich offerings that we are able to provide and experience in our worship life at Trinity. The music sung at our liturgies, whether from the pew or the choir, aims to draw us all into a more profound experience with God. We are dedicated to uniting, through our music, our lives and spirits to one another in Christ. There is something here for you!
After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music. -Aldous Huxley Music at NightWe warmly invite those who enjoy singing and making music to join us.
