Welcome to Trinity’s Children’s and Youth Choir Page!
Trinity has a strong children’s choir training program offering three choirs:
- Training Choir for ages 4-7
- Junior Choristers for ages 8 – 13
- and B-T Choir for students ages 14-17, plus Senior Choristers.
The three choirs meet weekly on Wednesdays for rehearsal, musical training, and fun! Children do not need to be members of Trinity in order to join the choirs. The choirs sing for special services throughout the year, including the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, Choral Evensong, the Christmas Eve service, Palm Sunday, Easter, and occasional other services. We encourage you to bring your children to choir! If you don’t, who will?
Children’s choir offers invaluable benefits to young people who participate — just ask any choir parent. These benefits include:
Spiritual Growth
In choir, children learn Christian Responsibility, Church History and Traditions of the Church. They develop a reverence for all that is sacred, and they learn to have dignity in all that they do. In singing the songs that tell of God’s Glory, Choristers also learn scripture and get a better understanding of our Maker.
Musical Growth
♪ Choristers learn how to sight sing, read music and develop their singing voices.
♪ These musically literate and chorally trained youths will be sought after in music programs of higher education.
♪ Children’s choir members are given the opportunity to study Piano and learn how to ring Handbells.
