Children’s Chapel Worship
Praise the LORD! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty expanse. Praise Him for His mighty deeds; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness. Praise Him with trumpet sound; Praise Him with harp and lyre. Praise Him with timbrel and dancing; Praise Him with stringed instruments and pipe. Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD! Psalm 150
Worship is an important part of our Church School program, and once a month, instead of joining their parents for the Ministry of the Sacrament (Holy Communion) after their class, the Sunday School children gather in the chapel for their own worship service, kid-style. They join together to experience prayer, music, story-telling and memory Bible verse during chapel. You can sometimes hear the loudest praises of the morning coming out of the mouths of the little ones as they unabashedly sing their own praise to God!
The children in chapel will come into the church as a group and go directly to the altar to receive Communion or a blessing and then will return to the Chapel for prayer time. They will be released to you from the Chapel instead of their classrooms on those days.
Encourage your child to share with you the songs they are singing in Chapel and to recite their memory verse. Parents are often amazed at just how much their children are learning while having fun praising God.
If you have a special gift you’d like to share with the Children in Chapel (story-telling, leading music, accompanying the singing on guitar or piano, etc.), please contact Trinity’s Director of Christian Education, Louise Boehm at 860.651.0201 or lboehm@ctdiocese.org.
