Annual Candlelight Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols

Trinity Church’s Candlelight Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols will usher in the joyous and reverent season of Christmas with the retelling of Christ’s birth.  This is a beloved tradition patterned after the service from King’s College, Cambridge in England.  Trinity’s readers and choirs will offer their musical gifts under the direction of Mary Rose DiGiovanna, Music Director, accompanied by guest organist, Larry Bishop.

Festival Choral Evensong
with The Trinity Festival Choir and Guest Preacher
The Reverend Dr. William Veinot

Choral Evensong is a service of reflection with readings and hymns from the Psalms and canticles, accompanied by a sermon.  This beautiful service joining language and music can speak to us of God in a powerful and personal way.  Our guest preacher, Father William Veinot, is currently rector of Saint Andrew the Apostle in Rocky Hill, CT.  An inspiring preacher, Fr. Veinot combines a love of Jesus Christ with a passion for literature and a flair for humor.  His sermon topic will be “Beauty and Truth”.
